Join STEMing UP; A free 2-week program for BIPOC girls & gender-diverse youth (ages 13-17)* *Free for applicants who demonstrate financial need.
Learn coding, build real apps, connect with tech mentors, and boost your chance at top universities and scholarships.
Program Dates: August 11–23, 2025
Location: Hybrid (Online + Optional In-Person Meetups in Ontario)

What is the time commitment for STEMing UP?
Program commences – August 11th, 2025Â
Week 1:
- Monday – Friday: in class business and coding training (10 AM – 3 PM)
- Friday:Â hackathon – applied learningÂ
- Saturday: Project Pitching for feedback from judges – 10 AMÂ
Week 2:
- Monday – Friday:Â coding training (10 AM) & tailored/independent + team training (2 – 3 hours)Â
- Friday: (24 hours) hackathonÂ
- Saturday: Demo Day/Winner Selection and Celebration 10 AMÂ
Program ends on August 23rd, 2025.
*Please note that the program schedule may be adjusted to fit everyone’s learning. A complete schedule will be sent to participants one week before the program start. Â
